This device is designed to split the FPD link III signal into FPD link and HDMI. For example, when connected between car radio and display, the image can be displayed in parallel on a connected HDMI monitor, it is possible to grab hdmi video signal and more. The device is also usable as an FPD link to HDMI converter without the need use the FPD link output.
