CAN FD support - the converter allows simultaneous operation with 3 CAN buses, one of the CAN buses can use the CAN FD protocol.
Timestamp in microsecond resolution - very accurate timestamps of message reception generated directly by the HW timer in the converter.
HW sync function - periodic message generation with period setting with 100 microsecond resolution. Periodic data generation with very precise period is provided at HW level. The application then only updates its own data as required. The generated messages can contain predefined counters and a checksum is generated (SAE J1939, TSC1,SPN4206+SPN4207).
Marker input for marking events in the log or frequency measurement. It is a digital input with an optocoupler whose state change is stored in the CAN communication log. A pushbutton, switched relay contacts or a sensor with digital output can be connected to the input.
Gateway mode for data transfer between connected CAN buses. In addition, for selected messages it is possible to enable HW gateway mode, where data is forwarded directly by the transmitter without software involvement and is thus forwarded between CAN buses with minimum delay.

Free PP2CAN software that is regularly updated, with 12 updates released from January to September 2021 alone. Its development started in 2003. PP2CAN SW contains many tools for working with the CAN bus, decoding data and hacking the CAN bus. These tools allow much more convenient work than the simple programs supplied with cheap converters.
